BoomerX HealthRural Africa, Starting in Nigeria
Every life matters.
We bring checkups and preventive care to rural communities, and a health plan that costs less than a dollar a month. So we catch small problems before they get big.

01The Distance
Most rural families see a doctor only when it is already late.
A clinic can be hours away on foot. A hospital bill can cost a season of work. So people wait, and the raised blood pressure that a two-minute check would have found becomes a stroke.
Hypertension and diabetes can be found with a simple check. Left alone, they lead to strokes and early deaths that never had to happen.
What an average person in a rural community lives on in a month.
What a typical health plan in Nigeria costs each month. Most rural families cannot afford it.
Health plans or regular checkups among the 500 rural residents we first surveyed.
02The Idea
So we go to them.
Prevention costs far less than a cure. Our health practitioners travel to the community on a fixed schedule, and everyone who joins is covered when something does go wrong.
03.1Preventive Care
A checkup every two weeks.
Our practitioners set up in the community and check everyone who comes, whole families at a time. Blood pressure and blood sugar first, then the questions that catch trouble early.
- Communal checkups every 14 days, on a schedule people can plan around
- Health talks that turn one visit into habits that last
03.2Health Plan
Cover that costs less than a dollar.
For ₦999 a month, one person is covered for care at the nearest government-registered hospital, with medication and hospital stays included. ₦1,999 covers a family of four.
- No registration fees at the hospital
- Medication collected free from a nearby pharmacy
03.3Health Record
A history that travels with them.
Every checkup is saved to a secure digital record. A QR card lets any clinic open that history when it matters, so nobody starts from zero in an emergency.
- One record per person, kept for life
- ClinicX, our pilot for earlier diagnosis, is built on the same data
04So Far
It works because it shows up.
People reached by our work across rural Nigeria.
Checkups a year for every member, one every two weeks
A month covers one person, with hospital care included

05In Their Words
The people we serve.
BoomerX visits us every two weeks to carry out regular body checkups. Because we have insurance, we can go to healthcare facilities without worrying about huge bills.
With a little contribution from me each month, my kids and I are covered, and I can finally give them the care they need and deserve.
Their regular preventive care programmes have helped me stay healthy and active.
Before I signed up, I was worried about what would happen if I got sick. Now I have peace of mind knowing that I am covered.
I have a team of healthcare professionals looking out for my family and me, and the biweekly visits are priceless.
Their preventive care has helped me catch health problems before they become serious.
06The People
Built by people who grew up there.
The founders grew up in the kind of communities BoomerX serves. A doctor and an engineer, working with nurses and community health officers who know every street.
